She utilizes her skills as the Senior Property Manager for City Street Investors, LLC, whose clients include Denver Union Station, within the structures of the Board. Her commitment and reliability are values in which bring Boards from being good to being great! We are ecstatic to have Tanya apart of our team and have sat down to dive into the essence of who she is.

What do people often thank you for?
A listening ear and an honest soundboard.

What do you see as your place or purpose in life? How did you come to that conclusion?
Help those that are less fortunate and just be kind to others. Raising a child can bring many things to light but most importantly what you want that child to grow to become, and that’s kind and generous. It was a simple conclusion.

What’s your favorite aspect about being on the Young Professionals Board? And what are your current duties?
Realizing there’s so many other people in this world with the same goal of changing lives just by giving back with your time. I am currently the Vice-Chairperson of the board and I assist in all aspects of the operation of our board.

If Global Orphan Prevention were to be on the cover of your favorite magazine in five years, what would the story be about?
How a small group of volunteers have changed the world… and so can you!

What do you feel have been the important successes in your life? The frustrations?
Stepping out of my comfort zone and finally taking steps toward giving back. It can sometimes be daunting when results aren’t immediate but the journey is the reward at the end of the day.

What would be your advice to younger generations about learning about causes, getting involved, and doing something about it?
Time is precious and life is short. Make the absolute most out of it and don’t wait a second longer to be kind and give back to those in need! “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” -Winston Churchill, a quote to live by and set the example for others.
